Acceptable Use Policy

These are the rules for everyone who uses core.shop and the services that come with it (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. They are part of our Terms of Service, and words defined there mean the same here. Breaking them can mean that content is removed, that your account is suspended or closed, and, where it is warranted, that we refer the matter to law enforcement.

1. Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 to create an account, or older where the law of your country sets a higher minimum. Answer the age question truthfully.
  • The Studio, our virtual try-on, may only be used by people who are 18 or older.
  • One person, one account. Do not share your sign-in details and do not run an account for someone else without their permission.
  • Do not create a new account to get around a suspension or a ban.
  • Do not impersonate a person, a brand or an organisation, and do not misrepresent your connection with one.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. Content

Everything you create on Core, from saved looks and collections to your public profile, shared looks, Studio photos and the names and descriptions you write, must follow these rules. Do not post, upload or share content that

  • infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights (see our Copyright and DMCA Policy),
  • is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening or bullying, or targets a person or group because of a protected characteristic,
  • is sexually explicit, sexually suggestive without consent or in an exploitative way, or shows nudity in a context the Service is not made for,
  • shows a minor in any context, and in particular, no photo of anyone under 18 may be uploaded to the Studio,
  • promotes self-harm, eating disorders, violence or illegal acts,
  • contains malware, scripts or links meant to harm users, our systems or our partners' systems,
  • is spam or unsolicited advertising, or manipulates likes, saves or any other signal.

3. The Studio and AI-made content

The Studio uses AI providers to make an avatar from the photos you upload, and pictures of that avatar wearing clothes. By uploading a photo you confirm that

  • you are the person in the photo, or that person has given you clear permission to upload it,
  • the person is 18 or older, since photos of minors may never be uploaded to the Studio,
  • you will not use the result to harass, defame or impersonate anyone, or to mislead people about anyone,
  • you understand that the result can be imperfect and endorses no product or brand.

4. The Service

Do not interfere with the Service or with other people's use of it. In particular, do not

  • scrape, crawl or otherwise extract product data, pictures, taste profiles, user data or any other content in bulk,
  • use bots, headless browsers or other automated tools on the Service, except through an integration we publish for that purpose,
  • reverse engineer or decompile any part of it, or try to recover the source code, model weights or training data behind a feature,
  • probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities, or get around its security or sign-in, except under a disclosure programme we publish,
  • send so many requests that the Service slows down for others,
  • use the Service to build a competing product, dataset or recommendation model.

5. Commercial activity

  • Do not use the Service to promote products you have an undisclosed commercial relationship with.
  • Do not use core.shop to sell to, solicit or recruit our members for purposes outside the Service without our written consent.
  • Core earns a commission on some of the clicks that go to a retailer, as our Affiliate Disclosure explains. Members do not earn a commission on their own actions.

6. Reporting a problem

If you see content or behaviour that breaks these rules, email contact@core.shop with the address of the page or the username and a short description. Copyright complaints follow the process in our Copyright and DMCA Policy instead.

7. Enforcement

At our discretion and without notice, we may

  • remove content or restrict access to it,
  • limit features, for example look sharing or Studio uploads,
  • suspend or close accounts, including for repeated breaches,
  • keep and disclose information where the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety or property of Core, our members or others.

Where it is appropriate we try to give notice and a chance to appeal. Serious or repeated breaches may skip that step.

8. Changes

We may update these rules. The current version is always on this page with its date at the top. Using the Service after a change means you accept the updated rules.
