AI Policy

AI is core to how core.shop works — it powers your personalized feed, natural-language search, virtual try-on, and the short outfit videos created with Mirror. This page explains what AI we use, what data flows where, and what you can do about it.

This policy supplements our Privacy Policy; defined terms have the meaning given there.

1. Where AI is used in the Service

• Taste profile & recommendations. Your swipes, saves, and onboarding choices are aggregated into a taste profile and a vector embedding. We send candidate products and your taste profile to an AI model to score each product for you.
• Natural-language "vibe" search. When you type a query like "quiet luxury for a dinner in Mallorca," we send the query to an AI model to interpret it, then match the interpretation against our product catalogue.
• Image search. When you attach a photo to a search from a personalized account, a downscaled copy is converted to a visual embedding (computed by our own model on Cloudflare's infrastructure) that drives the search, and is also shown to an AI model to write the results caption. Guest photo searches use Shopify's visual search instead. Retention is described in the Privacy Policy.
• Product attribute extraction. When we import new products, we send their name, brand, and description to an AI model to extract structured attributes (color, silhouette, material, formality, style tags). No user data is involved.
• Mirror — virtual try-on. The image you upload and the product image are sent to a third-party try-on model that returns a composed image of you wearing the garment.
• Mirror — outfit videos. The composed try-on image is sent to a video model that generates a short animated clip.

2. Providers we use

All AI calls happen on our servers — never directly from your browser — so your data only reaches a provider through us.

We may update this list as our stack changes; the current version always appears here.

3. What we don't send to AI providers

• Your email address.
• Your password (which we never see in plain text).
• Your real name unless you have included it in profile fields.
• Payment information.
• The contents of your private collections, beyond the products they contain.

We send only what is needed to deliver the feature, and we send it only to the provider responsible for that feature.

4. Photos you upload to Mirror

Mirror photos are particularly sensitive, so this gets its own section.

• We send the photo to Fashn solely to render the try-on result and the outfit video.
• Per their API terms, Fashn does not train models on your photo.
• We retain your base photo on our servers so you can reuse it. Try-on result images are generated and hosted by Fashn; we store links to them with your account. You can replace or delete your base photo from the Mirror at any time; stored photos and result links are removed when your account deletion request is processed (contact@core.shop).
• By uploading a photo you confirm you are the person in it, or have the subject's explicit permission, and that the subject is 18 or older. See our Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Limitations of AI

AI is a tool, not an oracle. The features described above can:

• Make incorrect recommendations or misinterpret what you asked for;
• Misread the color, material, or silhouette of a product;
• Generate try-on images or videos that look wrong, unnatural, or inconsistent with how the garment would actually fit;
• Reflect biases present in the underlying models or training data.

The Mirror is not a fitting room. Try-on images and videos are AI-generated visualizations — our provider does not publish accuracy guarantees, and no try-on model can promise that fit, size, drape, color, or garment details will match reality. Treat every render as an illustration, never as a depiction of how the garment will actually look on you, and do not base sizing decisions on it. We do not accept responsibility for differences between a render and the real garment.

AI output is for inspiration only. Final purchasing decisions, sizing choices, and fit judgments are yours, and any purchase you make happens on the retailer's own site under their terms.

6. Your rights and choices

• Turn down personalization. Account deletion is available on request at contact@core.shop — it removes your taste profile and stops further AI-based personalization. You can also ask us to reset your taste profile without deleting the account.
• Delete Mirror content. Replace or delete your base photo from the Mirror at any time; stored photos and try-on links are deleted when your account deletion request is processed.
• Access & deletion. EEA/UK and California users have the rights described in our Privacy Policy, including the right to a copy of the data we hold about you and the right to ask us to delete it.
• Opt out of analytics cookies. Reopen the cookie banner from the footer ("Privacy Choices") to change your choices.

7. Children

The Service — and these AI features — are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process AI inputs for minors. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the relevant data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as we add features or change providers. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service where required.
