AI Policy

AI runs a good part of core.shop. It shapes your feed, reads your searches, finds products from a picture, and makes your avatar and the pictures of it wearing clothes in the Studio. This page says where AI is used, which providers are involved, what they receive and what you can do about it. It is part of our Privacy Policy, and words defined there mean the same here.
1. Where AI is used
- Your feed. What you save and the choices you make at sign-up become a taste profile, and our own systems rank the catalogue for you from it. No outside provider takes part in that ranking.
- Searches in plain language. A search such as "quiet luxury for a dinner in Mallorca" is sent to an AI model that reads what you mean, and the reading is then matched against our catalogue.
- Searches with a picture. A smaller copy of the photo is read by an AI model, which names the garments in it, and by our own image model, which finds products that look like them. Guests and members are treated the same way; how long the photo is kept is explained in the Privacy Policy.
- The catalogue itself. When products arrive, AI models read their names, descriptions and photos to describe them in our own terms, such as the kind of garment, its colours and its pattern. No data about you is involved.
- Your avatar. The photo of your face, and the photo of your body if you add one, go to an image model that returns a picture of you in plain clothes.
- Looks on your avatar. The avatar and the photos of the products you pick go to an image model that returns a picture of your avatar wearing them.
2. The providers
Every AI call is made from our servers, never from your browser, so your data reaches a provider only through us.

This list changes as the Service does. The current version is always on this page.
3. What never goes to an AI provider
- Your email address.
- Your password, which we never see in plain text.
- Your real name, unless you put it in a profile field yourself.
- Payment details. We take none.
- What is in your private collections, other than the products themselves.
Each feature sends only what it needs, and only to the provider that runs that feature.
4. Photos you upload to the Studio
A photo of yourself deserves its own section.
- Your face photo, and your body photo if you add one, go to OpenAI only to make your avatar.
- Your avatar and the photos of the products you pick go to Google only to make the picture of your avatar wearing them. The photos you uploaded never go to Google.
- Under their business terms, neither OpenAI nor Google trains models on any of it.
- We keep your photos so you can make a new avatar from them, and we keep your avatar and the pictures made with it with your account so you can see them again. You can replace or delete your photos and your avatar in the Studio at any time, and all of it is deleted when you delete your account, in Settings, under Account, with Delete account, or by writing to contact@core.shop.
- The Studio is for adults. You may use it only if you are 18 or older. By uploading a photo you confirm that you are the person in it, or have that person's clear permission, and that the person is 18 or older. Our Acceptable Use Policy has the rules.
5. What AI gets wrong
AI is a tool, not an oracle. The features above can
- recommend the wrong thing or misread what you asked for,
- misjudge a product's colour, material or shape,
- produce an avatar or a try-on picture that looks wrong, unnatural or nothing like how the garment would really fit,
- reflect biases in the models they are built on.
The Studio is not a fitting room. Its pictures are AI-generated illustrations. Our providers publish no accuracy guarantee, and no try-on model can promise that fit, size, drape, colour or detail will match the real garment. Treat every result as an illustration, never as a picture of how the garment will look on you, and do not choose a size from it. We take no responsibility for differences between a result and the real garment.
AI results are for inspiration. Buying, sizing and fit decisions are yours, and any purchase happens on the retailer's own site under its terms.
6. Your choices
- Stop the personalisation. Deleting your account, in Settings, under Account, with Delete account, or by writing to contact@core.shop, removes your taste profile and ends it. You can also ask us to reset your taste profile and keep the account.
- Remove Studio content. Replace or delete your photos and your avatar in the Studio at any time. Photos, the avatar and the pictures made with it are deleted with your account.
- See and delete your data. People in the EEA, the UK and California have the rights set out in our Privacy Policy, including a copy of the data we hold about you and its deletion.
- Turn analytics off. Open Privacy choices in the footer to change your cookie settings.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process AI inputs from them. Members aged 16 and 17 can use the feed and search. The Studio and its photo features are for people 18 or older only. If you believe a child under 16 has used the Service, write to us and we will delete the relevant data.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as features and providers change. The current version is always on this page with its date at the top, and important changes are pointed out on the Service where the law requires it.
